This project is inspired from the lines of T.S.Eliot’s (1888-1965)
Opening Stanza from Choruses from 'The Rock' (play 1934)

Where is the Life we have lost in living?
Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge?
Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?

It also takes references from our everyday life & the age that we are living in. Knowledge is gathered from learning and education while Wisdom is gathered from day to day experiences and is a state of being wise. Knowledge is merely having clarity of facts and truths while wisdom is the practical ability to make consistently good decisions in life.

As I read the words of T.S. Eliot from “The Rock” The thought that struck me was :
Ignorance can be as destructive as a nuclear explosion.
Ignorance could be in simple day to day aspects of life
•Ignorance in getting proper education.
•Maintaining good Health
•Ignorance in protecting environment
•Ignorance in giving better nutrition to kids etc.
the effects of ignorance in these simple things could be huge.

Invention of Nuclear weapons is an application of knowledge but the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is a question of Wisdom. Human history has devastating lessons from the past, bitter on-going experiences and fear-inducing possible threats from the future. This is a reference to both the wisdom and ignorance of human action. When such mighty destruction occurs as a result of human actions, it affects us physically, environmentally and psychologically.

This consequential chain reaction is much bigger than what we realize or see as immediate after-effects. Even in our everyday life, we are producing potential seeds of nuclear explosions which will invariably affect our basic existence at a phenomenally massive scale as much as it affects life at an individual level.
But we don’t fear it psychologically because we cant see the long-term repercussions in our ignorance.
War takes place between humans, but there is a constant, silent war between Man and Earth. There are 196 countries in the world today, all attempting to “advance” as nation-states and with individual greed at it’s highest, the carbon footprint and destruction of natural resources is at an all-time high.
What could be the potential long-term damage to the Earth and rest of the species on the earth? Imagine Earth as self, self as earth, how would we look at it and how would we treat it? Since every human action is a Possible Effect, it is our choice as individuals what kind of an Effect we want to be.

This art project and the Exhibition takes reference from history, everyday life and the age we are living in. This body of work is not an attempt of activist statement, it is an action of art by an artist by means of art practice & production. Aim of the Art Production is to invite the Spectator to interact. I believe spectator participation is integral to complete a piece of Art.

Life experiences and the surrounding environment affect one’s thought process. Art can affect the mind by facilitating aesthetic joy and also can impact the thought process by way of our interaction and participation.

The aim of this show is to create an artistic environment that is open ended in its presentation and offers an opportunity to the spectators to interact with the art works and participate in one’s own freedom of experience and imagination.
